Jeremy Lambie attended the WSFL League Meeting in Oconomowoc.  The 2007 season will start the first weekend in August.  Rosters will have a minimum of 33 players and a maximum of 53 players.  A 1" kicking tee will be allowed for placekickers to use on extra point and field goal attempts.  League dues were increased to $1,000 per team.  The River City Rattlers based in Waupun, WI were added as a new team.

(12/10/06)
General Manager Paul "Flounder" Zimdars attended a WSFL business meeting in Saukville.  The Racine Threat and Green Bay Eagles will not be returning to the WSFL for the 2007 season.   The Rock County Gladiators, Summit Stampeders and Bay Area Vipers were added to the WSFL (links to each of these teams' sites may be found under our website's links section).  Stricter and more clearly defined sanctions for player misconduct have been added for 2007.

Our 2006 training camp opens this Wednesday night from 6-8PM at Badger Middle School. We will be practicing in t-shirts, shorts and football shoes for the first week. Be there on time so we can get to work on defending our crown.

We will be having a MANDATORY Players/Board meeting on Saturday, June 10th, at 4:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 915 S Indiana Ave, West Bend. We will need all player fees turned in by this date at the latest, so make sure to take care of business A.S.A.P.

Jeremy Lambie was the lone representative of the Junkyard Dogs at the May WSFL meeting yesterday in Sheboygan Falls. Each team's 2006 opponents were selected by their representative at the meeting. Because the Milwaukee Elite folded and the Green Bay Eagles appear to be back, the Washington County Patriots were asked to move into the South Division. Each team will play a total of ten regular season games with eight (four home and four away) inside their own division (Fox Valley, GB Bobcats, GB Eagles and Oostburg) and two outside their division. In the meeting, Lambie selected at random, the Beloit Hawks and Saukville Demons, two of three brand new teams in the league this year. Beloit will come to West Bend and the Dogs will travel down Highway 33 to play the Demons. The dates and times of these games will be decided by June 1st at the latest. Keep on eye on the website for the updated schedule as soon as it comes out.

(4/10/06)
Scott Hall and Jim Knowles traveled to Racine this past Sunday for the monthly WSFL meeting and it was determined that the Junkyard Dogs would participate in the Leagues' North Division with The Green Bay Bobcats, Oostburg Rebels, Washington County Patriots and Fox Valley Force. The South Division will consist of The Saukville Demons, Milwaukee Elite, Racine Horsemen, Racine Threat and Beloit Hawks. It was also decided that the top teams in each division will get a bye for the first round of the playoffs and the second and third teams would cross over and play the other division. The first league games are scheduled to be on the weekend of August 5th-6th.

(3/21/06)
Scott Hall, Jeremy Lambie, Paul Zimdars and Derek Hall traveled to the WSFL meeting in Green Bay last Sunday and during the meeting it was determined that four new teams will be entering the league for the 2006 season. The new teams are listed as follows: Washington County Patriots, Saukville Demons, Fox Valley (Appleton) Force and Beloit Hawks. The league will discuss division realignment at it's next meeting Sunday April 9th in Racine. Also decided at the meeting was that there will be a roster deadline of Monday August 14th and starting this season there will be a roster limit of 53 players (per NFL rules). Check back here for further information as it becomes available.
